DermaPal: Portable UV Phototherapy for the Scalp and Localized Treatments

The DermaPal device by Daavlin is the compact solution for targeted ultraviolet phototherapy, designed to treat the scalp and circumscribed skin areas with precision, where larger panels are impractical. Indicated for photoresponsive conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and vitiligo, it allows patients to continue the prescribed therapy comfortably at home, with the same continuity while travelling.

The system is available with narrowband UVB (NB-UVB) or UVA lamps, interchangeable should the prescription change during treatment. The dedicated scalp comb parts the hair so that radiation reaches the skin directly, while the digital timer precisely sets the duration of each session. Each unit comes with its own emission certificate, which allows the specialist to calibrate exposure times to the actual output of the device.

With a handpiece of only 21 × 5 cm, a base of 23 × 13 cm and a total weight of 0.8 kg, DermaPal is easy to store and can be used with one hand. Powered from a standard 220V/50Hz outlet. Device to be used only on prescription and under medical supervision, always wearing UV-protective goggles during treatment.
